Hello! I'm back.... sort of...

Hey I'm back! Did you miss me?

Well I really haven't had much luck with technology - my poor little netbook is still soldiering on, albeit with no Internet connection, no touch pad functionality and no working SD card slot. Only two of it's four USB ports work though - one for a mouse and the other for my memory stick - but, thankfully, the battery charging point still works so it's not all bad.

Plus I still have all my data - documents, pictures, music etc.

Could have been worse!

My lovely friends found an old laptop for me which, as I type this on a Notepad document, is going through complete system scan and updates. It's very slow, has nowhere near as much memory as my netbook BUT enables me to work online whilst the Other Half is doing his work on the PC. No more 'my work is more important than yours' arguments, which can only be a good thing! Unfortunately it doesn't have a working SD card slot either BUT I have discovered USB SD card readers that plug into your laptop and have one on order right now so very soon I will be able to upload pictures from my camera once again! Yay!!

What all of this means is that I now feel I can get back into some kind of blogging groove.

I have to be honest - I have quite enjoyed this little bloggy break. I have got lots more creative things done. Ironically it's quite a common cry amongst craft bloggers that we spend so much time blogging crafts that we struggle to find time to *actually* craft! Much knitting, crochet and even some decorating has happened in the time I would have usually spent blogging, planning posts or blog networking...

I have spent a lot of my 'free' time pondering where to take my creative business Forest Flower Designs next and playing with ideas and supplies and am excited to say that it's going in a whole new direction - which I will blog about soon! I also have some other creative design news to share very soon, (it's all a bit hush hush at the mo but do stay tuned!.

I have found Twitter very difficult to enjoy on my phone and as a result have been unable to take part very much in my favourite Twitter chat #craftblogclub (every Tuesday 7-830pm if you are interested in joining in!) but Instagram has been a godsend - I am totally in love with it and have embraced it fully (you can find me here - do come and say hello!)

So I will ease myself back into blogging slowly, aiming for a couple of posts a week.

Insta Collages Love!
If you have stuck around through the break, I thank you very much, you make it all worthwhile. If you are a new reader, Welcome! I do hope you will come back soon - why not add me to your bloglovin' list or subscribe by email (there's a box in the right hand column for this :-) ) so you never miss a post?

I have missed you all! It's good to be back!

  2. Nice to see you back. Would a multi-port USB hub help with the shortage of USB sockets?
